About
Just someone with a hook, some yarn, and the need to create. I’m just starting to write my own patterns and needed somewhere to post them, so I started this blog. Want to know about the blog’s name? Check out Not THAT Kind of Hooker… moron.
Come hang out with me on ravelry.com. I’m nleon307. If you crochet and you’re not registered on ravelry, you should be. It’s free. It’s fun. There’s tons of patterns and advice and best of all you can show off your finished projects and see everyone else’s!

Does anyone have an afgan pattern using Loops & Threads-Country Loom (Super Bulky) yarn? I would be very interested!
I have never crocheted with such thick yarn. Thanks.

Sorry, I love Charisma, but I’m not a big fan of Country Loom. I’ve only used it once as the fluffy top of a slipper and it was not so easy to work with.
Have you tried the Michael’s website or the Red Heart site for a Baby Clouds pattern? Michaels has at least one pattern for a Country Loom Afghans, Crochet Cluster Afghan.
A LionBrand Homespun pattern would probably work also. It looks like there’s 88 patterns for Homespun Afghans on the LionBrand website. Maybe the 5 1/2 hr Throw?

The bulkier the yarn, the larger the hook. You can use pretty much any pattern where gauge isn’t important, and just go up a few sizes on the hook. Also, make liberal use of stitch markers!!!! I’ve also found that counting from the end of the row to the beginning of the row works better than counting the right way.
